Do you love those gorgeous woven wall hangings but you just know how to crochet? Use this beautiful and stylish crochet wall hanging pattern to make one for your home.
As you may (or may not) know, I am a big fan of textile arts in general. My interests span from knitting and crochet to weaving, macrame and yarn dyeing. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time, at the moment (hahaha) to explore all these crafts, although I would love to, someday…

When you endlessly scroll on Pinterest, you will have definitely seen those beautiful wall hangings. Most of them using weaving techniques and they are just gorgeous!
I was always envious of those, so I decided to create a crochet version, you know, until I learn how to make the “real thing”.

It is amazing the things you can create with your crochet hook. I know it doesn’t look like the woven ones, but isn’t it pretty?
It has all kinds of texture, which I love, and some geometric design, which apparently never goes out of style.

I used maybe a bit more than a skein of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick to create this crochet wall hanging pattern. It is a great one skein project and amazing to use those small yarn leftovers you keep around the house.

Although I used only one color for my wall hanging, one of my wonderful testers, Krista @k.j.joyfullymade decided to make the textured pieces, the circle and the arrows, in a different color. The result is absolutely amazing, whether you decide to use one or two colors.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a tutorial for the two colored wall hanging, but this is an intermediate pattern. So if you know how to change colors in crochet, I am pretty sure you are going to figure this one out!

I rated this crochet wall hanging pattern as intermediate because it contains post stitches and the bobble stitch. If you are an advanced beginner who already knows how to make these stitches then you are good to go! Just grab one skein of super bulky yarn, your 8 mm crochet hook and some stitch markers and you are ready. Oh, and don’t forget the pattern! 😉
