This easy crochet pattern uses super bulky yarn and a 9.00 mm crochet hook for a very fast result. I bet you could make a couple of them in about an hour.

They are perfect as small gifts, stocking stuffers, and teacher appreciation gifts. They also sell like crazy at craft fairs.

Back in the day, when I was selling at local craft fairs, these twisted ear warmers were always among my bestsellers.

I don’t know if it was the twist design, the texture, or the fact that turbans were back in style these days. They were always a hit!

Crochet headbands are even chosen by women who don’t wear hats. It’s a fantastic way to be warm and stylish, while nothing messes your hair up.

The crochet twisted headband pattern is available in 3 sizes: Toddler, child, and adult. This means it’s time to make your little girl a turban headband! And one for yourself of course!

How to make a turban headband

In this particular design, it all starts with the first round. The trick begins just after you make your initial foundation row with double crochet stitches.

You are going to carefully make a full twist of the left part of the headband as you hold it with your left hand before you join your first row into a round.

It sounds a bit tricky, but it really isn’t. Plus, I have a video tutorial of the whole twisted headband pattern, just a little further down this page.

One of my favorite things about this twisted ear warmer crochet pattern is how tangled it looks when you are in the process of making it.

Sometimes you will feel like you have made a big mess, but then the whole thing just untangles itself. It’s like magic!

What do you say? Are you ready to dive in?
