This is going to be a slightly different blog post from the ones you are used to seeing from me. I decided to make a compilation of the best posts I published in 2018. How do I define which ones are the best?
But from all of you, of course, and the love you showed them, throughout the year!
Maybe I am a little bit influenced by my husband, who has a radio show and this time of the year always makes lists about the best albums of the year that just passed.
So, writing one of these felt very natural to me and is something we are used to in our house. I hope it doesn’t seem too self-promotional to you because that wasn’t my intention at all.

I just wanted to say a big thank you, to all of you who showed so much love for the work I have done in the past year. And maybe you will discover some of the things that other people liked and they just happened to slip by you, unnoticed.
Let’s start our top 10 from the bottom up!
10. How to make a bathroom pom pom rug
Not exactly a crochet project, but a diy one. Pom poms are always fun to make and they look very playful!

9. Free crochet headband pattern
Easy crochet headband, with worsted weight yarn. Doesn’t get any simpler than that.

8. Crochet Christmas tree pattern
This one surprised me a bit to make it into the list. Not because I didn’t like it or thought people wouldn’t like it. The only reason is that it was published at the end of November, so making it to number 8 is a great success!

7. Easy crochet bow pattern
Fun, quick and versatile! This bow can be adjusted in size and added in just about anything. I totally get why you loved it!

6. How to make a flat crochet circle
The next three spots are covered with crochet tutorials! Wow! Thank you so much! I never knew I was such a good teacher. This one is about increasing in the round and making a circle stay flat. It has a little bit of math, but easy, I promise!

5. How to seamlessly change colors in the round
A very useful technique, especially if you are making amigurumi, or projects with many color changes. This tutorial will guide you through the process of seamlessly changing colors in crochet.

4. How to make a perfect crochet circle
Your number one choice when it comes to my crochet tutorials. How to make a perfect crochet circle and not end up with the hexagon shape when crocheting in the round and especially with the single crochet stitch!

3. The Benson crochet baby blanket
The top 3 positions are covered by crochet patterns. Well, that’s why we all here for!
In number 3, we have the Benson baby blanket. Maybe one of the quickest and cheapest baby blankets you are ever going to make with quality yarn. This post got a makeover recently, as many of you were asking me to suggest color combinations.
Well, there you have them now. Color combinations for the Benson baby blanket for boys, girls and of course neutral color choices!

2. Crochet oval baskets
This is one of the free patterns on my blogs with a paid version in all my shops if you wish to have the pdf. Oval crochet baskets are not so common but they are very practical. I offer them in 2 sizes and they are really quick to make.

1. Adorable crochet pumpkins that look knit
This was your absolute favorite post by far! I don’t know if it was the seasonality of the project or how small and satisfying these cute little pumpkins are, but you really-really loved them! Thank you so much for that!

And just because I couldn’t resist I added my top 3 best selling patterns!
1. The adorable crochet pumpkins (no surprises here!)
2. The Benson baby blanket (no surprises here, either!)
3. Chunky pom hat followed really close by the Aberdeen shawl!
Thank you for sticking with me through the end and for all the love and support you had given me this year! Love you guys!
